Holosomatic Breath Therapy

What is it?

A trauma-informed approach practice that uses intentional and rhythmic breathing patterns to access deeper layers of the body and psyche to potentially affect various aspects of a person's health and well-being. It's not just about relaxing, but also about consciously changing your breath to achieve specific effects. There are many different breathing techniques, each with specific goals.

Breathwork is considered a somatic practice because it works directly with the body (“soma”) to access, process, and release stored experiences, patterns, and emotions. Unlike approaches that rely primarily on talking or analyzing, somatic practices engage the wisdom of the body as an entry point for healing and self-regulation.

What a session looks like?

A session lasts about 2–2.5 hours and begins with a conversation to get to know your intentions, goals, and current state. From there, we move into somatic grounding and bodywork preparations before entering a full hour of conscious connected breathing for deep exploration. Throughout the journey, we weave in supportive resources such as music, sound therapy, meditation, journaling, and affirmations. Each session is guided at your pace and tailored to your needs, creating a safe space for release, integration, and deeper connection with your body’s wisdom.

Together, we may explore different breathwork modalities, including:

  • Holotropic & transpersonal techniques for inducing altered states of consciousness

  • Vitality practices to strengthen the immune system and increase energy for sports performance

  • Meditative breathwork to achieve balance and deep calm

  • Trauma informed breathwork techniques for addressing and healing trauma

  • Shamanic-inspired practices for spiritual exploration

  • Mastery of traditional pranayama yogic breath control techniques

It helps us regulate the nervous system, process emotions, and restore a sense of presence and clarity. Through this work, you can release unprocessed trauma, let go of the weight of past wounds and overcome fears, access and process your emotions, feel lighter and more present, and begin to create the life you long for with greater clarity, compassion, and trust in your own path.
